From the owner....that's me
Welcome to the June House About newsletter. Well, winter is well and truly with us this week and we're all turning to those good old home cooked winter warming meals and comfort food, chocolate is my favourite. Read on to try one of my favourite winter meals “Shepherds Pie”, an oldie yes, but a goodie!! Let me know if you like it after you've tried it.
We've been in our new location just on three months now, how time flies.... and not a day goes by that we still get old customers coming in who have just found us again....sorry folks. Trust me, the decision to move was not taken lightly and we know it's hard to let everyone know, so please, when talking to friends, would you please just mention that we've moved and if they didn't even know about us, tell them what a great place it would be to visit if they're looking for new value for money timber furniture, thanks a million.
If you've been coming in regularly, you will notice just how often new furniture and decorating items are arriving. We've just received new art work also this week and new floral arrangements have just been mad with love by our lovely Vanessa. A new furniture container also arrived this week, so we're well placed to serve you.
Don't forget our MAD JUNE SALE starts this Saturday, but for our newsletter and face book recipients you get first crack, so pop in Friday to grab a bargain before the sale goes public. The ad is at the bottom of the newsletter, but there will be great savings right throughout the whole store on timber furniture, so now is the time to snap up the SAVINGS.
Follow us on FACE BOOK to receive more regular in store updates and great one off specials just for face bookers. The last two Saturday's we've had specials between 11am -1pm just for face bookers and it seems that it's been greatly appreciated., thanks to all of those who have taken advantage. So join up and WIN. Any one who follows us on Face book throughout June/July will have a chance to WIN $100 House About Gift Voucher. I know we've just discussed winter arriving, but how I have to get you take a quick look into the future and think about the lazy days of Summer...... YES, crazy I know, but we are now taking orders for outdoor timber dining suites, day beds etc, with the ETA for the latest container that has space available being October, so don't delay in discussing your entertaining ideas with us soon. Rattan/Waterhyacinth settings will be big again this summer season. This goes too for those who are almost finished their new home building. Now is the time to start thinking about the new pieces of furniture you'd like in your new home, how exciting.
Many thanks to the loyal customers who are frequenting our Shellharbour Village store “Talk About Home wares” for all your decorating and gift giving needs, Lisa and I really appreciate your support and patronage.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions? As we are still finding our feet here in Warrawong, if you have any ideas on what furniture pieces you'd like to see or how you think the store layout is, please don't be afraid to drop me an email on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. DESIGN YOUR OWN FURNITURE
Are you looking to match an existing piece of furniture in your home or do you have a space for a piece of furniture that demands to be noticed.
Either way, we can custom make a piece especially for your home and requirements. Our custom made furniture generally does not exceed the price of a similar design of retail furniture.
Our high quality timbers, teak and mahogany are real timber that are sourced ONLY from government forests and built to last for years. Our furniture is made with care by hand and even the carving is done by hand, and to your design if you choose.
More importantly, a unique, custom piece of furniture will appreciate over time, unlike mass produced pieces that literally depreciate the moment you take them home.
Remember, “the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price has been forgotten”. So, I urge you to call in to discuss your new furniture requirements with us next time you're in the market for a new piece.
Until next month, we hope to see you in store this weekend grabbing a sale bargain.
Take care, Monique
